I usually don't have a set plan for the shoot. It is a creative process. Every family and everyone has their own unique vibe, so we just move with that energy. We will move to different locations and use different poses during. Most importantly, I want to show the connection, love and personality of each individual/family.
limited natural light
Because we will only have limited amount of time with the natural/outdoor lighting it is imperative that you are on time for the shoot. At times we may move quickly from place to place to make sure that we find the perfect lighting.
relax and have fun
not many people model for a living and you will most likely feel a little awkward when we begin the shoot. This is totally normal and you will relax and have fun as we continue.

Sessions include 1 to 1.5 hour of shoot time.

what to wear-critical for good images
This is critical for good images so please read. It will make a difference if you take the time to plan ahead and make sure that you are prepared for the shoot.
coordinate outfits
What does that mean? Choose styles, colors, patterns and hues that compliment each other. Include color and pattern but do not overdo it. Too much color and pattern detracts from the people in the image. But that does not mean to put everyone in the same color tops and same color pants. Choose outfits and lie them on your bed or floor and see what works. I will be sending and information packet with some suggestions and visual inspiration. If more assistance is needed, I am always happy to do a quick wardrobe appointment at your house.
take the time, go to the salon
This really makes a difference. When you look and feel your best it comes through and will show in your images. DO NOT experiment with a new hairstyle or makeup the day of the shoot. Stick with what works.
be natural, be yourself, be timeless
Let your personality and your families vibe and connection shine through. Be comfortable in what you are wearing. Do not try out a new style or hair do for the shoot. Stick with what works best and makes you feel amazing.
